2020 would like to invite you to attend a series of free events brought to you by Positive Solutions. The focus of these events will be on Financial Adviser charging, with a particular focus on the Retail Distribution Review.

The events are being produced in association with Jupiter, Prudential, Standard Life and Aegon and will feature expert speakers from each of these companies. Positive Solutions Compliance Director, James McCourt, will be your host and will give insight into recent developments at Positive Solutions.

The structure of each event will be as follows: 

World Market Overview
Jupiter will investigate several aspects of the world’s leading economies and will highlight the relevant merits of both emerging and developed markets for investors. Furthermore, they will provide their thoughts on the key asset classes and take a balanced look at the “active versus passive” debate. 

Investment Planning Strategies
Prudential and Standard Life will be looking at the taxation of investments across different wrappers, highlighting the best ways to compliantly support your recommendations. Prudential will also look at the benefits and appropriateness of guarantees while Standard Life will examine collectives, portfolio planning and the reasons for risk based solutions.

Evolution – Communicating your Service Proposition
Robert Reid and Roderic Rennison of Ideas Lab will be running an interactive session which will focus on how to discuss fees with clients. The session will offer practical advice and training to provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to successfully promote your services to new and existing clients.

Pension Reforms
Aegon will be considering the impact of the pension reforms beginning in 2012; with nine out of ten UK companies intent on seeking professional financial advice, what will this mean for employers, employees and IFAs? As over one million employers in the UK will need to establish a qualifying workplace pension scheme for their employees, Aegon will highlight the fee-charging opportunities this creates.

Compliance Update – “Striking the Right Balance”
Positive Solutions Compliance team will be looking at improvements made to their government framework since September and will update attendees on improvements still to come, including an overview of the user friendly Compliance Extranet site.
